Our Story
Founded by Michael Connolly, Talent Engines is deeply rooted in the ingredients of what makes for a great firm. Great firms maintain an unwavering focus on serving clients. Michael’s father, Paul Connolly, was a co-founder of Williams & Connolly. He saw how great firms get built. He saw the importance of training and development during his time at McKinsey & Company.
Michael envisioned a company that combines the best of human insights and technology that converge to place the right people in the right environments, thereby enhancing both individual and organizational success.
Step one was to develop the talent intelligence platform, Talent Engines™—a platform that leverages AI and graph databases to map relationships among over 170,000 attorneys, encompassing 11.4 million connections. This innovative approach ensures that candidates are matched not only based on skills but also on cultural and relational fit.
Step two was to attract the best recruiters that understood the benefits of the Talent Engines platform – faster sourcing, unique candidate ranking, efficient candidate engagements and much, much more.
